Yes, Wright brings some questions to the table, especially his comments on "face to face, smell to smell, etc." I was struck by the fact that he was doing that via a video post where he'll never know who sees it without those same media. He's right about blogs being a serious time-sink...but doesn't really get into either microblogging or social media. What about YouTube? I'm also not quite sure that it captures the interface between human beings that can come from symbolic exchange. Yeah, blogs are written media...but then, so's the whole freakin' New Testament. Can we honestly say that Paul wouldn't have chastised the Galatians on his blog? Or that the Beloved Disciple wouldn't have serialized the Johannine Gospel on his website? Interesting video!
